OCA Circular No. 61-09, dated May 22, 2009, instructs all judges and clerks of courts in the Philippines to take action regarding estafa cases against Ervin Mateo. The Regional Trial Court and Metropolitan Trial Court in Makati City have been designated to hear all cases against him. Courts are required to inventory pending criminal cases to identify any filed against Mateo and to forward these records to the appropriate Clerk of Court in Makati City. TO : All Judges and Clerks of Courts of the First and Second Level Courts 
     
SUBJECT : A.M. No. 06-6-329-RTC (Request for the Designation of a Special Court to Try and Decide Estafa Cases Against Ervin Mateo)

 

In the April 15, 2009 Resolution of the First Division of this Court in A.M. No. 06-6-329-RTC (Re: Request for the Designation of a Special Court to Try and Decide Estafa cases against Ervin Mateo), the Regional Trial Court, Branch 132, Makati City and the Metropolitan Trial Court, Branch 65, Makati City was authorized to hear and decide cases of all nature, estafa or otherwise, filed against Mr. Ervin Mateo. TCADEc

Pursuant to that resolution, all Offices of the Clerk of Court in the thirteen (13) Judicial Regions are hereby DIRECTED to conduct an inventory of all criminal cases pending before their respective courts to determine if they have cases pending against Ervin Mateo; and, thereafter to IMMEDIATELY FORWARD the records of all Mateo cases filed before them to the Office of the Clerk of Court, RTC Makati City or the Office of the Clerk of Court, MeTC Makati, as the case may be.

The list of the Mateo cases forwarded to Makati shall be furnished the Office of the Court Administrator.
