Abolition of Office of Political Affairs

MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 97
ABOLISHING THE OFFICE OF POLITICAL AFFAIRS CREATED UNDER MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 27, AS AMENDED
The Office of Political Affairs created under Memorandum Order No. 27, as amended by MO Nos. 33 and 39, is hereby abolished. Any public officer or employee separated from the service as a result of the abolition effected under this Memorandum Order shall receive the retirement benefits to which he may be entitled under existing laws, rules and regulations; otherwise he shall be paid the equivalent of one month's salary for every year of service rendered or the equivalent nearest fraction thereof favorable to him on the basis of the highest salary received but in no case to exceed twelve months.
This Order shall take effect immediately.
