Work Suspension in the Executive Branch in Celebration of the 27th National Family Week
Memorandum Circular No. 65, issued on September 23, 2019, mandates the suspension of work in government offices of the Executive Branch from 3:00 PM onwards to celebrate the 27th National Family Week, as proclaimed in Proclamation No. 60 (s. 1992). However, essential services, including basic health services and disaster response, are exempt from this suspension and must continue operations. The decision regarding work suspension in other government branches and independent bodies is left to the discretion of their respective leadership. This Circular took effect immediately and was published in the Official Gazette on November 18, 2019.

MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 65
Pursuant to Proclamation No. 60 (s. 1992) which declared the last week of September of every year as Family Week, and in order to afford government workers more time to spend with their families on this, the first day of the 27th National Family Week Celebration, work in government offices in the Executive Branch on 23 September 2019 is hereby suspended from 3:00 o'clock in the afternoon onwards.
However, those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services.
The suspension of work in other branches of government and in independent commissions or bodies is left to the sound discretion of their respective heads/management. HTcADC
