Work Suspension
OCA Circular No. 218-2022 announces the suspension of work in all courts in Metro Manila and several nearby provinces due to Severe Tropical Storm "Florita." The suspension is effective from 3:00 p.m. on August 23, 2022, to August 24, 2022, following an announcement from the Office of the President. Executive Judges in courts not listed are empowered to suspend work as per prior guidelines. This measure is intended to ensure the safety of court personnel and the public during the storm.

In view of the announcement of the Office of the President suspending government work and classes in all levels in public schools in Metro Manila and nearby provinces including Laguna, Cavite, Rizal, Bulacan, Zambales, and Bataan from Tuesday to Wednesday due to the onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm "Florita," and upon prior instructions of Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo, work is hereby SUSPENDED in all courts in Metro Manila and in Laguna, Cavite, Rizal, Bulacan, Zambales, and Bataan, today, at 3:00 p.m., and tomorrow, 24 August 2022. For courts not mentioned in the enumeration, the Executive Judges are granted the authority to suspend work in their respective stations following the guidelines in OCA Circular No. 51-2020 dated 5 February 2020.
