| FOR | : | All Directors of Centers for Health Development; Minister of Health-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao; Executive Directors of Specialty Hospitals; Chiefs of Medical Centers, Hospitals, Sanitaria and Institutes; and All Others Concerned |
| SUBJECT | : | Utilization of the EB COVID KAYA Information System for Close Contact Data and Reporting of Contact Tracing Data |
Contact tracing is a major public health response to the ongoing Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic. It enables us to immediately identify and isolate exposed or possibly infected individuals and stop the disease transmission. Close contact data is currently captured by the COVID-19 Information System. Encoding the profile, health and/or laboratory status, and disposition of close contacts should be done on a daily basis for local and regional health offices. This will enable the Department of Health to track our contact tracing progress as well as determine patterns of transmission that will guide the ongoing response activities.
In this regard, DOH hereby requests the following from the Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (RESU) and the respective local health offices:
1. To ensure that close contact data using the close contact profile form and the sign and symptom log form, as indicated in DM 2020-0189 "Updated Guidelines on Contact Tracing of Close Contacts of Confirmed Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Cases" shall be completed and encoded in the EB COVID KAYA Information System by 5:00 PM daily.
2. To submit aggregate data on contact tracing utilizing the template in Annex A.
Access to the EB COVID KAYA Information System shall be provided by the RESU to their respective local health offices. For any information on how to access the system, please contact Mr. Ray Justin Ventura of the Epidemiology Bureau at +639171442502 or at email address [email protected]
Dissemination of the information to all concerned is requested. SDAaTC
