Suspension of Certain Officials and Employees of the Department of Public Highways in Cagayan de Oro City

LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 446

TO : The Secretary of Public Highways

WHEREAS, it appears that there are many officials and employees of the Offices of the Regional Director and the District Engineer at Cagayan de Oro City who were administratively charged in connection with the anomalous acquisition and payment of properties affected by rights-of-way, for which reason they were placed under preventive suspension pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 807, and aisa dc

WHEREAS, in view of the seriousness of the charges against the aforesaid officials and employees, involving, as they do, practices of the Old Society that undermine the faith of the people in the Government; of the fact that the Department of Public Highways could not thoroughly evaluate the voluminous documents and evidences for and against them within the period for preventive suspension allowed under existing laws; and of the need to prevent corrupt and undesirable elements from participating in the official business of that Department, it is deemed necessary to place said officials and employees under continuous suspension until the administrative case against them shall have been finally disposed of.

NOW, THEREFORE, you are hereby directed to suspend the following officials and employees of the Offices of the Regional Director and the District Engineer at Cagayan de Oro City until their administrative cases are finally terminated, namely:
