Suspension of Atty. Florante A. Miano from Practice of Law
On July 16, 1987, the Supreme Court of the Philippines issued Administrative Supervision of Courts Circular No. 17-87 regarding the suspension of Atty. Florante A. Miano from the practice of law. This decision followed a resolution from June 29, 1987, concerning the case "People of the Philippines vs. Anita Claudio y Bagtang," where Atty. Miano failed to file the appellant's brief. The court noted that a previous communication requiring him to show cause for his actions was returned unserved, indicating he had moved. Consequently, Atty. Miano was suspended effective immediately until further orders from the court.
