| SUBJECT | : | Submission of Data on Cases Involving Persons Convicted under R.A. 6425 (Dangerous Drugs Act of 1972, as Amended) and R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) |
To aid in the formulation of appropriate national policies to address drug related threats and concerns, and to monitor the transfer of convicted prisoners of drug cases to the national penitentiaries, there is a need to gather updated data on the following:
1. A nationwide list of cases involving persons convicted under R.A. 6425 (Dangerous Drugs Act of 1972, as amended) and R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002); and
2. A nationwide list of convicted detainees who may have been issued mittimus for transfer to the national penitentiaries.
In view thereof, all judges and clerks of court of courts handling drug cases are hereby DIRECTED to submit to the Office of the Court Administrator, within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of this circular, the needed data on cases involving persons convicted under R.A. 6425, if any, and R.A. 9165 filed in your respective courts from January 2018 to present.
