LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 54
The Secretary
Department of Public Works, Transportation and
Pursuant to Proclamation No. 1081, dated September 21, 1972, and in order to speed up the operation and completion of the Marine Slipway, North Harbor, Manila, which is needed to improve the social and economic development of the country, and in order to enable the Veterans to help develop the national economy, I hereby authorize you: cd i
(a) To revise immediately the design, plans and specifications of the Marine Slipway incorporating the latest modern technique, the Syncrolift system, to increase its capability and efficiency; procure the Syncrolift; and hasten the operation and completion of said marine slipway facility.
(b) To contract with a corporation that has the capability to manage and operate said marine slipway, as well as supervise its completion pursuant to Executive Order No. 298, as amended.
(c) To take steps to relocate the temporary "Tuluyan" buildings occupied by the fire victims.
Strict compliance with this Letter of Instructions is desired.
