PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 211
SETTING JUNE 19 TO JULY 4, 1974 AS THE PERIOD FOR REGISTRATION OF MEMBERS OF BARANGAYS (CITIZENS ASSEMBLIES)
WHEREAS, a system of registration of all members of Barangays (Citizens Assemblies) has been established under Presidential Decree No. 210, dated June 8, 1972. acd
WHEREAS, the aforesaid Presidential Decree requires the declaration of a period of registration of qualified members of Barangays (Citizens Assemblies);
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and pursuant to Proclamation No. 1081 dated September 21, 1972, and General Order No. 1 dated September 22, 1972, do hereby order and decree to be part of the laws of the land the following:
SECTION 1. June 19 to July 4, 1973 is hereby declared as a period for the registration of all members of Barangays (Citizens Assemblies) in accordance with the provisions of Presidential Decree No. 210.
SECTION 2. The Commission on Elections is hereby authorized to issue rules and regulations for the immediate and effective implementation of this decree.
SECTION 3. This decree shall take effect immediately. cd
DONE in the City of Manila this 8th day of June in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Seventy-Three.
