Salary Standardization for Judges of Chartered Cities
Republic Act No. 924, enacted on June 20, 1953, standardizes the salaries of judges in chartered cities in the Philippines. It sets the annual salary for the municipal court judges of Manila at nine thousand pesos, while judges in other cities will receive the higher salary determined by previous Republic Acts. REPUBLIC ACT NO. 924
AN ACT STANDARDIZING THE SALARIES OF JUDGES OF CHARTERED CITIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
SECTION 1. The annual salary of each of the judges of the municipal courts of the chartered cities shall be the following:
(a) Of the City of Manila, nine thousand pesos;
(b) Of all other cities, the salary fixed for each of the judges of municipal courts by Republic Act Numbered Eight hundred and forty or by Republic Act Numbered Eight hundred and forty-three, whichever is higher. cdt
SECTION 2. The municipal judges shall be entitled to thirty days vacation leave with pay for each year of service.
SECTION 3. All acts or parts of acts inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This Act shall effect upon its approval.
