REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5190
AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE SALARIES OF CERTAIN PROVINCIAL AND CITY FISCALS AND THEIR ASSISTANTS, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE
SECTION 1. All persons appointed to positions of provincial fiscals, assistant provincial fiscals, city fiscals and assistant city fiscals created after June twenty, nineteen hundred and sixty-four shall be entitled to receive salaries in accordance with the rates as provided in Republic Act Numbered Forty-one hundred and forty-two.
SECTION 2. Unless the laws creating the positions provide otherwise, the salaries of the provincial fiscals and city fiscals and their assistants referred to in Section one of this Act will continue to be paid by their respective provinces and cities based on the salary rates fixed in Republic Acts Numbered Seventeen hundred and ninety-nine and Eighteen hundred and thirty-six and by the provisions of the charters of the said cities, and the difference between these salaries and those provided for in Republic Act Numbered Forty-one hundred and forty-two shall be paid out of national funds.
SECTION 3. This Act shall not apply to the City of Manila and Quezon City.
SECTION 4. Such sums as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated.
SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
