Additional Provincial Fiscals for Leyte

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4874

AN ACT INCREASING THE NUMBER OF ASSISTANT PROVINCIAL FISCALS FOR THE PROVINCE OF LEYTE, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE SECTION SIXTEEN HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-FOUR OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, AS AMENDED

SECTION 1. The provision of Section sixteen hundred and seventy-four of the Administrative Code, as amended, relative to the number of assistant provincial fiscals in the Province of Leyte, is further amended to read as follows:

"Leyte, sixteen assistant provincial fiscals;"

SECTION 2. For the purpose of paying the national share of the salaries of the seven additional positions of assistant fiscals of Leyte herein created, there is hereby authorized to be appropriated for the current fiscal year and annually thereafter, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the amount of twenty-one thousand pesos which shall be annually included in the lump sum appropriated for salaries of provincial and city fiscals and their assistants in the annual General Appropriations Act.

The provincial share of such salaries shall, at the rate fixed by Republic Act Numbered Seventeen hundred ninety-nine, be included in the annual appropriation of the Province of Leyte pursuant to the provisions of Section four of Republic Act Numbered Thirty-seven hundred nineteen.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
