The Supreme Court En Banc, in its Resolution dated June 6, 2006 in A.M. No. 03-05-01-SC, Re: New Code of Judicial Conduct for the Philippine Judiciary, resolved, upon the recommendation of the Philippine Judicial Academy, to REVISE the provision of Canon 4, Section 9 of the New Code of Judicial Conduct, as distributed to judges and court personnel, so as to read as follows:
"Confidential information acquired by judges in their judicial capacity shall not be used or disclosed for any other purpose NOT related to their judicial duties. "
