Renaming the Municipality of Rodriguez in the Province of Rizal as the Municipality of Montalban, Repealing for the Purpose Batas Pambansa Blg. 275

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11812
AN ACT RENAMING THE MUNICIPALITY OF RODRIGUEZ IN THE PROVINCE OF RIZAL AS THE MUNICIPALITY OF MONTALBAN, REPEALING FOR THE PURPOSE BATAS PAMBANSA BLG. 275
SECTION 1. The Municipality of Rodriguez in the Province of Rizal is hereby renamed as the Municipality of Montalban.
SECTION 2. The renaming of the Municipality of Rodriguez as Municipality of Montalban shall be effective upon ratification of the majority of the votes cast by qualified voters in a plebiscite to be conducted and supervised by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in the present Municipality of Rodriguez.
The expenses for such plebiscite shall be borne by the Municipality of Rodriguez, Province of Rizal.
SECTION 3. This Act repeals Batas Pambansa Blg. 275, entitled "An Act Changing the Name of the Municipality of Montalban, Province of Rizal, to the Municipality of Rodriguez."
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

Lapsed into law on June 2, 2022 without the signature of the President, in accordance with Article VI, Section 27 (1) of the Constitution.
