Remittance of Bond in People of the Philippine Islands v. Castro y Bodegon
Act No. 4191, approved on December 8, 1934, remits a bond of twenty-five hundred pesos provided by Jose Nazareno for the provisional release of Jose Castro y Obregon in a criminal case. The bond had been forfeited by the Court of First Instance of Manila, but the Act allows for its remission after deducting the government's incurred expenses related to the bail. The law emphasizes the relief of the bond obligation following the forfeiture ruling. The Act takes effect immediately upon approval.
