SUBJECT : Reiteration of OCA Circular No. 18-2002 Dated June 20, 2002 (Re: Submission of Copies of Final Orders, Decisions, Warrants of Arrests and File Photographs Involving Cases of Illegal Recruitment)

 

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), pursuant to Republic Act No. 8042, otherwise known as the Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act of 1995, has been mandated to prepare and implement programs toward the eradication of illegal recruitment activities. acSECT

On June 20, 2002, this Office issued OCA Circular No. 18-2002 directing all Presiding Judges and Clerks of Court of the Regional Trial Courts, Metropolitan Trial Courts, Municipal Trial Courts in Cities, Municipal Trial Courts and Municipal Circuit Trial Courts to submit to the POEA the following:

1. Copies of final orders and decisions involving cases of illegal recruitment;

2. Copies of warrants of arrest issued against accused illegal recruiters who remain at large or who jumped bail;

3. If available, a copy of the file photograph of the accused.

Recently, POEA Administrator Jennifer Jardin-Manalili requests assistance in directing all courts to furnish her Office the above-mentioned data.

In view of the foregoing, you are hereby directed to STRICTLY COMPLY with OCA Circular No. 18-2002 dated June 20, 2002. CAaDTH
