SUPREME COURT ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 01-2022
RE: RENAMING THE PHILJA TRAINING CENTER (PTC) FACILITY TO "THE JUDICIAL ACADEMY OF THE PHILIPPINES (TJAP)" FOR PUBLIC RELATIONS, AND MARKETING PURPOSES ONLY
WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 8557 established the Philippine Judicial Academy (PHILJA) to provide members of the Judiciary and prospective applicants to the Judiciary with continuing good education and training;
WHEREAS, Administrative Order No. 102-2009 of the Supreme Court provides that the PHILJA Training Center (PTC) in Tagaytay City shall be the primary training center of PHILJA under the latter's operational control and supervision through the PTC Executive Committee;
WHEREAS, in the same Administrative Order, to augment its financial resources, the PTC may from time to time open its facilities for the use of other institutions for their training programs, conferences, seminars, and other institutional activities provided that such use shall not prejudice or hamper the use of the PTC for PHILJA training programs and activities;
WHEREAS, the PHILJA Management Committee, during its 370th meeting on July 26, 2021, issued Resolution No. 1-2021 for the creation of a subcommittee under the PTC Executive Committee to study and propose a marketing plan that would further promote and increase the utilization rate of the facility;
WHEREAS, in PTC Resolution 1-2021 dated September 17, 2021, the PTC Executive Committee recommended the approval of the PHILJA Training Center (PTC) Marketing Plan;
WHEREAS, as part of its plan to increase the utilization of the facility with particular focus on its strength and its future opportunities as a venue for training and conferences of various institutions, among the marketing strategies approved is to open the PHILJA Training Center as a venue for institutions that require a place for its human resource development programs including teambuilding activities and PTC will introduce a new emblem bearing the facility's new trademark (figurative and wordmark), "THE JUDICIAL ACADEMY PHILIPPINES";
WHEREAS, in PHILJA Board of Trustees Resolution No. 31-2021, the Board approved the PTC Marketing Plan and recommended its approval to the Court [E]n [B]anc;
WHEREAS, on October 12, 2021, the Court [E]n [B]anc issued a resolution approving the PTC Marketing Plan;
NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to the Court-approved Marketing Plan of the Philippine Judicial Academy Training Center, to further promote the PTC and increase its utilization rate, the following shall be implemented:
1. Formally rename the PTC facility to "The Judicial Academy Philippines (TJAP)" as the official nomenclature of the PHILJA training facility in Tagaytay City for public relations, and marketing purposes only; and
2. The name PHILJA Training Center Office (PTCO) shall be retained as the organization behind the operation of The Judicial Academy Philippines (TJAP) facility for its organizational structure under the Philippine Judicial Academy. HEITAD
This Administrative Order shall take effect upon its issuance on January 27, 2022.
