Re: Guidelines on the Selection and Designation of Executive Judges and Defining Their Powers, Prerogatives and Duties
On December 6, 2022, the Philippine Supreme Court issued a resolution detailing guidelines for the selection and designation of Executive Judges and their Vice-Executive Judges. The resolution, based on recommendations from the Fiscal Management and Budget Office, establishes new monthly expense allowances for these judges, varying according to the number of court branches they oversee. For instance, Executive Judges from Regional Trial Courts with 40 or more branches will receive PHP 8,000, while those with fewer branches will receive decreasing amounts down to PHP 4,000. Similarly, Vice-Executive Judges will receive allowances ranging from PHP 4,000 to PHP 1,500 based on the number of branches. This change aims to enhance the support and operational capabilities of the judiciary.
