EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 869
PLACING THE NATIONAL PRINTING OFFICE AND ASIAN PRODUCTIVITY ORGANIZATION (APO) PRODUCTION UNIT UNDER THE PHILIPPINE INFORMATION AGENCY
WHEREAS, in order to address the need for a government agency to communicate with the people, Executive Order No. 100 (s. 1986) created the Philippine Information Agency;
WHEREAS, Section 6 of Executive Order No. 576 (s. 2006) attached the National Printing Office (NPO) and Asian Productivity Organization (APO) Production Unit to the Office of the Press Secretary (OPS);
WHEREAS, under Section 31 (2), Chapter 10, Title III of Executive Order No. 292, otherwise known as the Administrative Code of 1987, the President is granted the authority to reorganize the executive branch of the government;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order: HCEaDI
SECTION 1. The National Printing Office and Asian Productivity Organization (APO) Production Unit are hereby placed under the Philippine Information Agency.
SECTION 2. All executive orders, rules and regulations and other issuances or parts thereof which are inconsistent with this Order are hereby revoked, amended, or modified accordingly.
SECTION 3. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 12th day of March, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Ten.
