OCA CIRCULAR NO. 210-2022
| TO | : | All Judges and Personnel of the First and Second Level Courts |
| SUBJECT | : | PinasLakas Vaccination Drive of the Department of Health, Supreme Court of the Philippines, and the City of Manila |
The Supreme Court, spearheaded by Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo, and in partnership with the Department of Health and the City of Manila, held a short program in support of the PinasLakas Vaccination Drive. The highlights of the program include the Ceremonial Vaccination conducted by Dr. Maria Rosario Singh Vergeire, Officer-in-Charge, Department of Health, and Dr. Maria Sheilah Honorado Lacuna-Pangan, Mayor of the City of Manila, which was witnessed by the Honorable Chief Justice and the Honorable Associate Justices of the Supreme Court.
One of the primary goals of the PinasLakas Vaccination Drive is to emphasize the importance of COVID-19 vaccine boosters in protecting the people from COVID-19 and its life and health threatening risks. COVID-19 vaccine boosters can further enhance or restore protection from severe COVID-19 illness that might have decreased over time after the first and second COVID-19 vaccine shots. Thus, there is a need to reinforce awareness of the importance of COVID-19 vaccine boosters and encourage all eligible officials and personnel of the Judiciary to avail of all COVID-19 vaccine boosters.
Accordingly, all judges and personnel of the first and second level courts, through the Executive Judges in multi-sala stations and single-sala Regional Trial Court Judges, are ENJOINED to coordinate with their respective local government units and/or the Department of Health local health offices for the inoculation of all those interested, qualified and/or required to be vaccinated with first or second COVID-19 vaccine boosters.
For information and strict compliance.
