Participation of Government Lawyers in Greater Manila Region in IBP's Regional Convention and MCLE Seminar
Memorandum Circular No. 158, issued on July 21, 2008, authorizes all government lawyers in the Greater Manila Region to participate in the Integrated Bar of the Philippines' Regional Convention and Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Seminar scheduled for August 9-10 and August 14-16, 2008. Attendance is permitted on official time and will incur no additional costs to the government, aside from the payment of salaries. However, participation must not negatively impact the functions of their offices or the delivery of public services.

MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 158
AUTHORIZING THE PARTICIPATION ON OFFICIAL TIME OF ALL GOVERNMENT LAWYERS IN GREATER MANILA REGION IN IBP's REGIONAL CONVENTION AND MCLE SEMINAR
The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), Greater Manila Region, will be holding its Regional Convention and Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Seminar on August 9 and 10, 2008, at the Pearl Manila Hotel, Ermita, Manila, and on August 14 to 16, 2008 at the Manila Hotel, Roxas Boulevard, Manila. HAEDCT
In this connection, all government lawyers in Greater Manila Region (Manila I to IV and Quezon City Chapter) are hereby authorized to attend the above-mentioned Convention and Seminar, on official time, at no cost to the government except payment of their salaries, provided such attendance will not adversely affect the functions of their respective offices as well as the delivery of services to the public.
