Observance of the Proper Format and Payment of Certified TSNs of Cases Filed in the Lower Courts
OCA Circular No. 83-10, dated June 23, 2010, instructs all judges and personnel of the First and Second Level Courts to adhere to proper formatting and payment guidelines for certified transcripts of stenographic notes (TSN). This reminder follows a Supreme Court resolution that emphasizes compliance with Administrative Circular No. 35-2004, which details the fees for certified transcripts. The fees are set at ten pesos per page before an appeal and five pesos per page after filing an appeal, with one-third of the total going to the Judiciary Development Fund and two-thirds to the stenographer. The circular aims to ensure standardization and proper remuneration for court stenographers.
