PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 560
PRESCRIBING A NEW RATE OF INITIAL CLOTHING ALLOWANCE AND CLOTHING MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE FOR EACH CADET OF THE AFP
WHEREAS, paragraph 8 of the special provisions of the Armed Forces of the Philippines budget for Fiscal Year 1974-1975 prescribes the amount of P800.00 an initial rate of their initial clothing allowance and P50.00 as semestral clothing maintenance allowance for each cadet of the Philippine Military Academy and Philippine Air Force Flying School;
WHEREAS, due to upward trend in the prices of commodities, the present rate of initial clothing allowance and semestral clothing maintenance allowance for each cadet of the Armed Forces of the Philippines is no longer adequate to meet the cost of a cadet's required uniform;
WHEREAS, to insure that cadets of the Armed Forces of the Philippines be given adequate uniform for the duration of their training, it becomes necessary to increase the rate of their initial clothing allowance and semestral maintenance clothing allowance;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, in my capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines pursuant to Proclamation No. 1081, dated September 21, 1972 and Proclamation No. 1104, dated January 17, 1973, do hereby authorize and prescribe the following rate of initial clothing allowance and semestral clothing maintenance allowance for each cadet of the Armed Forces of the Philippines:
