Republic Act No. 8776, enacted on April 7, 2000, establishes the Mayor Ricardo de San Jose Sr. Comprehensive National High School in Sta. Maria, Flora, Apayao. This school is tasked with providing secondary education and engaging in activities authorized by the Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports. The Act mandates the issuance of necessary rules and regulations by the Department of Education to implement its provisions. Funding for the school will be included in the General Appropriations Act starting from the year following its enactment. REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8776

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AT STA. MARIA, MUNICIPALITY OF FLORA, PROVINCE OF APAYAO TO BE KNOWN AS THE MAYOR RICARDO DE SAN JOSE SR. COMPREHENSIVE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. There is hereby established a national high school at Sta. Maria, Municipality of Flora, Province of Apayao to be known as the Mayor Ricardo de San Jose Sr. Comprehensive National High School.

SECTION 2. The school shall offer secondary education proper as well as undertake other activities to carry out its objectives as may be authorized by the Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports.

SECTION 3. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act.

SECTION 4. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
