Life Pension for Widows of Ex-Presidents of the Philippines
Republic Act No. 208, enacted on June 1, 1948, provides a life pension for the widows of former Presidents of the Philippines or those who die in office. Each eligible widow is entitled to an annual pension of twelve thousand pesos, disbursed monthly by the Treasury. The Act took effect on April 15, 1948, and was published in the Official Gazette in July 1948.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 208
AN ACT PROVIDING A LIFE PENSION FOR WIDOWS OF EX-PRESIDENTS OF THE PHILIPPINES
SECTION 1. The widow of an ex-President of the Philippines, or of a President who dies in office shall be entitled to a life pension of twelve thousand pesos per year payable to her monthly by the Treasury of the Philippines. cd
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on April fifteen, nineteen hundred and forty-eight.
