SUPREME COURT CIRCULAR NO. 8-86
| TO | : | All Judges and Personnel of Both the Judiciary and the Office of the Court Administrator |
| SUBJECT | : | Proper Identification of a Particular Court by Indicating its Specific Branch in Arabic Instead of Roman Numerals |
The different Branches of the Regional Trial Courts and of the Metropolitan Trial Courts in the National Capital Region, as provided in Sections 14 and 27, respectively, of Batas Pambansa Blg. 129, are numerically listed in Roman numerals. This, however, often causes confusion particularly on the part of many who are no longer accustomed to the use of archaic Roman numerals. Accordingly, judges and personnel both of the Judiciary and of the Office of the Court Administrator are directed henceforth to indicate in all records, orders, decisions, and other official documents and communications, the specific Branch number of the particular court concerned in Arabic numerals. aisa dc
Strict observance of this directive is hereby enjoined.
