Increase in Registration Fees on Large Cattle
Batas Pambansa Blg. 226, enacted on April 16, 1982, amends the Local Tax Code to increase registration fees for large cattle. The new fees are set at P5.00 for an original certificate of ownership and P10.00 for a transfer certificate. The President, based on the Prime Minister's recommendation and following public hearings, can adjust these fees by up to 50% or decrease them by 10% if necessary. The Minister of Finance is tasked with issuing implementation rules, and the law takes effect fifteen days after publication in a widely circulated newspaper. Any conflicting laws are repealed or modified accordingly.

BATAS PAMBANSA BLG. 226
AN ACT INCREASING THE REGISTRATION FEES ON LARGE CATTLE BY AMENDING SECTION 20 (c) OF THE LOCAL TAX CODE, AS AMENDED, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
SECTION 1. Subparagraph (c), Section 20, Article 2, Chapter II of Presidential Decree Numbered Two hundred thirty-one, otherwise known as the Local Tax Code, is hereby amended to read as follows: acd
"(c) Registration fees on large cattle:
| (1) Original certificate of ownership | P5.00 |
| (2) Transfer certificate of ownership | P10.00" |
SECTION 2. The President of the Philippines upon the recommendation of the Prime Minister, after public hearing, whenever the cost for registering large cattle so demands, may increase the rates of registration fees by not more than fifty percent or decrease the same by not more than ten percent.
SECTION 3. The Minister of Finance shall, with the approval of the Prime Minister, issue such rules and regulations for the effective implementation of this Act, which shall take effect fifteen days following its publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the Philippines.
SECTION 4. The provisions of Section 6 of Presidential Decree Numbered Nine hundred fourteen and other laws, acts, decrees, executive orders, proclamations, regulations or parts thereof which are inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
