REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4657
AN ACT INCREASING THE MINIMUM ANNUAL COMPENSATION OF PHYSICIANS, DENTISTS, NURSES AND PHARMACISTS EMPLOYED BY THE GOVERNMENT OR BY SEMI-GOVERNMENT INSTITUTIONS OR BY GOVERNMENT OWNED OR CONTROLLED CORPORATIONS IN POSITIONS REQUIRING THE KNOWLEDGE OF MEDICINE, DENTISTRY, NURSING OR PHARMACY, AS THE CASE MAY BE, TO SIX THOUSAND PESOS, FIVE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED PESOS, FOUR THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED PESOS AND THREE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED PESOS, RESPECTIVELY
SECTION 1. Any provision of law to the contrary notwithstanding, all physicians, dentists, nurses and pharmacists employed on full time basis by the Government or by semi-government institutions or by government owned or controlled corporations in positions requiring the knowledge of medicine, dentistry, nursing, or pharmacy, as the case may be, shall receive a minimum annual compensation of six thousand pesos, five thousand four hundred pesos, four thousand two hundred pesos, and three thousand six hundred pesos, respectively.
SECTION 2. Republic Acts Numbered Six hundred forty-nine and Six hundred sixty-four are amended accordingly. cdt
SECTION 3. Such sums as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act during the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-seven is appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the same purpose shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
