Implementation of the Enhanced E-Warrant System
OCA Circular No. 229-2022 mandates the implementation of the Enhanced E-Warrant System across all first and second level courts in the Philippines. This initiative, authorized by the Supreme Court in 2020, aims to automate the process of issuing warrants of arrest, transitioning from a manual to an electronic system. The enhanced system is designed to improve the efficiency and timeliness of warrant issuance, facilitating real-time monitoring. All judges and court personnel are required to comply with this directive.

Pursuant to the Resolution of the Court en banc dated 28 July 2020 in A.M. No. 20-07-11-SC, 1 which authorized the implementation of the Enhanced e-Warrant System in order to fully automate the courts' current manual process of issuing warrants of arrest, and considering that several trainings had been conducted on the Enhanced e-Warrant System, 2 all first and second level courts nationwide are hereby ENJOINED to implement and use the Enhanced e-Warrant System by electronically encoding, generating, and transmitting e-warrants for a more effective and timely service enabling real-time monitoring of issued warrants of arrest.
