PROCLAMATION NO. 2307
AUTHORIZING THE HOLDING OF PLEBISCITES TO RATIFY THE CREATION OF NEW MUNICIPALITIES AND BARANGAYS, INCLUDING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN BARANGAYS TO ANOTHER MUNICIPALITY
WHEREAS, various Batas Pambansa created new municipalities and barangays as well as transferred certain barangays to another municipality as hereunder indicated:

WHEREAS, the aforesaid laws also provide that plebiscites shall be held for the ratification of the creation of new municipalities and barangays, including the transfer of certain barangays to another municipality by majority votes cast in the affected areas of the municipalities and barangays concerned. casia
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law do hereby declare that:
1. Plebiscites shall be held in the affected areas of the present municipalities and barangays concerned for the ratification of the creation of the aforecited municipalities and barangays, including the transfer of certain barangays to another municipality.
2. The Commission on Elections shall set the dates most convenient for the plebiscites and shall supervise the conduct thereof, as well as promulgate the rules and regulations necessary to implement this proclamation.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
