Extending the Period for Registration of All for Hire Motor Vehicles

PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 382
EXTENDING THE PERIOD FOR REGISTRATION OF ALL FOR HIRE MOTOR VEHICLES, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE SUB-PARAGRAPH 1, PARAGRAPH (b), OF SECTION 5, REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED 4136, AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, the period for registration of all for hire motor vehicles under Republic Act 4136, as amended, falls on the last working day of February of every year;
WHEREAS, it is felt that the period is inadequate for all owners of for hire motor vehicles to register their vehicles on time; cd i
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and pursuant to Proclamation No. 1081, dated September 21, 1972, and General Order No. 1, dated September 22, 1972, do hereby order and decree the extension of the period for the registration of all for hire motor vehicles up to the last working day of March every year.
Sub-paragraph 1 of paragraph (b), Section 5 of Republic Act No. 4136, as amended, is hereby amended accordingly.
This Decree shall take effect immediately.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 28th day of January, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Seventy-Four.
