Extending the Effectivity of P.D. No. 333 As Amended Re: Importation of Liquefied Petroleum Gas
Presidential Decree No. 727, issued on June 5, 1975, extends the duty-free importation of liquified petroleum gas (LPG) in the Philippines until June 30, 1977. This measure responds to a domestic shortage and high global prices for LPG, ensuring that adequate supplies are available to consumers at lower costs. The decree underscores the national interest in stabilizing LPG availability while acknowledging the expected high prices in the market. It takes effect immediately and can be terminated sooner at the discretion of the President.
