REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11499
AN ACT EXPANDING THE SERVICES OF THE MALITA DISTRICT HOSPITAL IN BARANGAY POBLACION, MUNICIPALITY OF MALITA, PROVINCE OF DAVAO OCCIDENTAL, RENAMING IT AS THE MALITA WOMEN'S AND CHILDREN'S WELLNESS CENTER
SECTION 1. The Malita District Hospital located in Barangay Poblacion, Municipality of Malita, Province of Davao Occidental is hereby renamed the Malita Women's and Children's Wellness Center.
SECTION 2. The Malita Women's and Children's Wellness Center, hereinafter referred to as the Center, shall provide specialty healthcare services on obstetrics and gynecology, prenatal, postnatal, and neonatal care, lactation programs, children's immunization, other women and pediatric care and animal bite treatment.
SECTION 3. The Center shall be under the direct supervision and control of the Provincial Government of Davao Occidental.
SECTION 4. The Secretary of the Department of Health (DOH) shall immediately include in the Department's subsidy program, its support for the capital outlays requirement of the Center.
SECTION 5. The Chief of Hospital shall submit to the DOH a development plan to reflect the developmental goals of the Center. The medical personnel, capital outlays and budgetary needs for the operation of the Center shall be based on its development plan.
SECTION 6. If any provision or part of this Act is declared unconstitutional, the remaining parts or provisions not affected shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 7. All laws, executive orders, issuances, rules and regulations inconsistent with this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
SECTION 8. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
