LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 766

WHEREAS, school buildings, communal irrigation systems and barangay roads are among the priority projects of the national government; cdt
WHEREAS, the damage wrought by typhoon "Kading" needs to be repaired;
WHEREAS, the national government has adopted economy measures and has imposed upon itself budgetary reserves so as to generate savings that can be used to augment the funding for priority projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby Order and instruct:
1. The programs for construction and repair of school buildings, irrigation systems and barangay roads embodied in the accompanying documents are hereby approved. aisa dc
2. The Minister of the Budget is hereby directed to release P200 million to support each of the project categories mentioned in number 1 above in CY 1978-79. The amounts required for the current year shall be charged to budgetary savings and the amounts required for CY 1979 shall be charged to the budgetary reserves imposed upon agencies.
3. Such amounts as may be required for the repair of school and other public buildings in the aftermath of "Kading" and other recent typhoon as approved by the Minister of Public Works, Transportation and Communication and the Minister of the Budget, shall be released to the Bureau of Public Works for immediate repair work.
