Exemption of the Dangerous Drugs Board from the Payment of Legal Fees

| SUBJECT | : | Exemption of the Dangerous Drugs Board from the Payment of Legal Fees |
The Dangerous Drugs Board, through its Executive Secretary, Undersecretary Edgar C. Galvante has invited the attention of this Court that Petitions for Voluntary Confinement of Drug Dependents filed by the Board should be exempt from the required filing fees under Section 22, Rule 141 of the Rules of Court considering that said Board is under the Office of President.
Finding merit on the position of the Board, the Court En Banc in its Resolution dated March 2, 2010 in A.M. No. 10-2-03-0 (Re: Clarification on the Exemption of the Dangerous Drugs Board from Payment of Filing Fees), RESOLVED to EXEMPT the Dangerous Drugs Board from the payment of filing fees relative to Petitions for Voluntary Confinement under Article VIII, Section 54 of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the "Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002".
