REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4764
AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A GENERAL HOSPITAL AT TACLOBAN CITY, TO BE KNOWN AS SPEAKER DANIEL Z. ROMUALDEZ MEMORIAL CITY HOSPITAL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. There shall be established under the direct supervision of the Director of Medical Services a general hospital at Tacloban City with a bed capacity of one hundred beds to be known as Speaker Daniel Z. Romualdez Memorial City Hospital.
Upon the establishment of said hospital, the City of Tacloban shall be exempt from the payment of the proportionate share required under Republic Act Numbered Nineteen hundred thirty-nine, otherwise known as the Hospital Financing Act: Provided, however, That the City of Tacloban may extend financial aid to said hospital.
SECTION 2. The architectural services and supervision in the construction of the hospital buildings thereof shall be undertaken by private parties through a licensed private architect. casia
SECTION 3. The sum of five hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the construction and establishment, operation and maintenance of said hospital during the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-seven, including the purchase of a site. Thereafter, such sum as may be needed for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
