Republic Act No. 7105, approved on August 14, 1991, officially changes the name of the Daniel Z. Romualdez Memorial School of Fisheries in Tolosa, Leyte, to Leyte State School of Fisheries. The institution is authorized to offer secondary courses in fisheries, along with short-term technical or vocational courses and higher education in the field, as approved by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports. This act took effect immediately upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on November 4, 1991.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7105
AN ACT CHANGING THE NAME OF THE DANIEL Z. ROMUALDEZ MEMORIAL SCHOOL OF FISHERIES IN TOLOSA, LEYTE, TO LEYTE STATE SCHOOL OF FISHERIES
SECTION 1. The name of the Daniel Z. Romualdez Memorial School of Fisheries in Tolosa, Leyte, is hereby changed to Leyte State School of Fisheries.
SECTION 2. The College shall offer secondary course in fisheries, short-term technical or vocational courses, and higher technological and professional instruction and training in fisheries as may be authorized by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
