Republic Act No. 3394, enacted on June 18, 1961, establishes the Palompon School of Arts and Trades in Palompon, Leyte, as a national institution under the Bureau of Public Schools. The school will offer secondary-level courses and is subject to existing public education laws. An appropriation of one hundred thousand pesos is authorized for its establishment and initial operation in the fiscal year 1962, with future funding to be included in annual budget appropriations. The act takes effect upon approval and was published in the Official Gazette on June 18, 1962.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3394

AN ACT ESTABLISHING THE PALOMPON SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PALOMPON, PROVINCE OF LEYTE, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. A national school of arts and trades, of the Philippine School of Arts and Trades type, to be known as the Palompon School of Arts and Trades, shall be established in the Municipality of Palompon, Province of Leyte. The said school shall be under the supervision of the Bureau of Public Schools and subject to existing laws on public education. Courses of secondary level shall be offered in the said school. casia

SECTION 2. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the establishment, operation and maintenance of the said school during the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-two. Thereafter, the necessary funds for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts. cdt

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
