Establishment of Oriental Mindoro School of Fisheries in Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro
Republic Act No. 3396, enacted on June 18, 1961, establishes the Oriental Mindoro School of Fisheries in Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro, under the supervision of the Director of Public Schools. The Secretary of Education is tasked with creating the necessary rules and regulations for its operation. An initial appropriation of 200,000 pesos from the National Treasury is authorized for the school's establishment, operation, and maintenance during the fiscal year 1962, with future funding to be included in annual budget appropriations. REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3396
AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SCHOOL OF FISHERIES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BONGABONG, PROVINCE OF ORIENTAL MINDORO, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. There shall be established, under the direct supervision of the Director of Public Schools, a school of fisheries in the Municipality of Bongabong, Province of Oriental Mindoro, to be known as the Oriental Mindoro School of Fisheries. The site for the said school of fisheries shall be determined by the Director of Public Schools.
SECTION 2. The Secretary of Education shall promulgate such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.
SECTION 3. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the establishment, operation and maintenance of the said school during the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-two. Such sum as may be needed for the same purpose in subsequent years shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
