LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 980

| SUBJECT | : | Amending Letter of Instructions No. 835 Directing the Establishment of a Gasoline Service Station Within the Premises of the Batasang Pambansa |
WHEREAS, LOI No. 835 directed the establishment of a gasoline service station by the Philippine National Oil Company within the premises of the Batasang Pambansa for the purpose of selling gasoline to the Assemblymen free of tax not exceeding four hundred (400) liters each month;
WHEREAS, the Philippine National Oil Company is not engaged in the operation and/or establishment of a gasoline service station but only supplies gasoline and other oil products to established gasoline service stations;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize:
1. The Batasang Pambansa to establish and operate within its premises a gasoline service station for the purpose of selling gasoline to the Assemblymen, Officials of the Batasan Secretariat as may be authorized by the Speaker, and the government vehicles of the Batasang Pambansa, free of tax not exceeding four hundred (400) liters each per month. aisa dc
2. The Philippine National Oil Company or its authorized subsidiary to supply gasoline to said service station free of tax.
3. The Batasang Pambansa to set up a revolving fund in the amount of P100,000.00 or such amount as may be necessary for this purpose, subject to the usual government accounting and auditing regulations.
This Letter of Instructions shall take effect immediately.
