Ensuring that People in GIDAs, Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples Are Well-Informed on COVID-19 and Have Access to Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facilities and Referral Hospitals
DOH Department Circular No. 2020-0192 mandates that all Centers for Health Development and the Ministry of Health-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao collaborate with Local Government Units to ensure that individuals in Geographically-Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs) and Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) are well-informed about COVID-19. | SUBJECT | : | Ensuring that People in GIDAs, Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples Are Well-Informed on COVID-19 and Have Access to Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facilities and Referral Hospitals |
In view of the increasing COVID-19 cases in the country, all Centers for Health Development and the Ministry of Health-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-BARMM) are hereby enjoined to coordinate with the different Local Government Units (LGUs) in ensuring that the people living in Geographically-Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs) and the Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) are also well informed on COVID-19. In addition, mechanisms that would ensure access by these population groups to Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facilities (whether national- or LGU-managed) and COVID-19 referral hospitals are introduced and maintained.
Dissemination of the information to all concerned is requested.
