MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 135
ENJOINING ALL INFORMATION OFFICERS OF OFFICES/AGENCIES AT THE NATIONAL/REGIONAL AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT LEVELS TO ATTEND AND PARTICIPATE IN THE TWO-DAY PHILIPPINE COMMUNICATORS NETWORK CONVENTION TO BE CONDUCTED BY THE PHILIPPINE INFORMATION AGENCY ON MARCH 4-5, 2004
The Philippine Communicators Network (PHILCOMNET), a network of information officers in all government offices/agencies and local government units from Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao will hold its 1st national convention and election of officers on March 4–5, 2004 at the Hotel Rembrandt, Quezon City. Topics to be discussed include: SONA accomplishments, prospects of the Philippine economy, tourism promotion and development, and communication strategies in communicating the government's programs and projects.
All heads of government departments, bureaus and local government units nationwide are enjoined to authorize their information officers to attend and participate in the PHILCOMNET convention, conferences and related activities on March 4 and 5 on official time. Expenses for transportation, per diems, registration fees and other necessary fees/expenses at rates prescribed in accordance with existing policies of the Department and Budget and Management, the Commission on Audit and the Civil Service Commission shall be chargeable against the funds of their respective agencies/offices, and subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
