In order to provide continuous and efficient dialysis services to patients, the Department of Health (DOH) hereby mandates the continuous operation of Dialysis Facilities throughout the Philippines.
Dialysis services, including Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis, are classified as health and frontline services — the uninterrupted delivery of which is critical for the treatment of persons suffering from kidney or renal diseases.
Thus, pursuant to the Memorandum from the Executive Secretary in the Office of the President, dated March 16, 2020, which states that all health and emergency frontline services shall ensure a skeletal workforce, this Department mandates all Dialysis Facilities throughout the Philippines to ensure the continuous and unrestricted operation of their respective facilities in order to provide the necessary dialysis services to the public.
