PROCLAMATION NO. 1944

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2009, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DASMARIÑAS, CAVITE

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 9723, otherwise known as the "Charter of Dasmariñas" transformed the Municipality of Dasmariñas, Cavite into a component city, to be known as the City of Dasmariñas; cHSIAC

WHEREAS, the Commission on Elections will conduct the plebiscite on Wednesday, November 25, 2009;

WHEREAS, in order to fully involve and empower the constituents of Dasmariñas to participate and cast their votes in the said plebiscite, there is a need to declare Wednesday, November 25, 2009 as a special non-working day.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Wednesday, November 25, 2009, as special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Dasmariñas, Cavite.
