Declaring Wednesday, June 24, 2009, as Special (Non-Working) Day in the Province of Masbate
Proclamation No. 1788, issued on May 28, 2009, declares June 24, 2009, as a special (non-working) day in the Province of Masbate. This declaration coincides with the celebration of the Kasadyaan sa Dagat Festival, allowing residents to engage in festivities and ceremonies. The proclamation aims to provide the people of Masbate the opportunity to celebrate this significant occasion. It is signed by Executive Secretary Eduardo R. Ermita under the authority of then-President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, JUNE 24, 2009, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF MASBATE
WHEREAS, Wednesday, June 24, 2009, marks the observance of the Kasadyaan sa Dagat Festival in the Province of Masbate;
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Masbate be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Wednesday, June 24, 2009, as special (non-working) day in the Province of Masbate.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
