PROCLAMATION NO. 1757

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17, 2009, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF LAPU-LAPU

WHEREAS, the City of Lapu-Lapu was created on June 17, 1961 by virtue of Republic Act No. 3134;

WHEREAS, Wednesday, June 17, 2009, marks the Charter Day anniversary of the City of Lapu-Lapu;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Lapu-Lapu, be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Wednesday, June 17, 2009, as special (non-working) day in the City of Lapu-Lapu.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
