Proclamation No. 1710, issued on January 21, 2009, declares February 10, 2009, as a special (non-working) day in Laoag City to celebrate "Laoag City Day" and the feast of its patron saint, St. William the Hermit. The proclamation emphasizes the importance of allowing the citizens to engage in appropriate ceremonies for the occasion. It was signed by Executive Secretary Eduardo R. DECLARING TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2009, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN LAOAG CITY

WHEREAS, Tuesday, February 10, 2009, the City of Laoag marks the "Laoag City Day" and celebrates the feast of its patron saint, St. William the Hermit; IATHaS

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Laoag, be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Tuesday, February 10, 2009, as special (non-working) day in Laoag City.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
