This date marks the 9th Charter Day anniversary of the city, which became a component city as per Republic Act No. 8803, ratified on October 8, 2000. DECLARING THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2009, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF KORONADAL, PROVINCE OF SOUTH COTABATO
WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 8803 dated August 16, 2000, provided for the conversion of the Municipality of Koronadal into a component city to be known as the City of Koronadal and was ratified on October 8, 2000; SCIAaT
WHEREAS, Thursday, October 8, 2009 marks the 9th Charter Day anniversary of the City of Koronadal, Province of South Cotabato;
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Koronadal, Province of South Cotabato, be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Thursday, October 8, 2009, as special (non-working) day in the City of Koronadal, Province of South Cotabato.
