PROCLAMATION NO. 1701

DECLARING THURSDAY, JANUARY 15, 2009, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF SAN PABLO

WHEREAS, Thursday, January 15, 2009 marks the celebration of the Feast Day of Saint Paul, the First Hermit, the patron saint of San Pablo City;

WHEREAS, coinciding with the feast day is the holding of the 14th Coconut Festival and Mardi Gras Contest; CaAIES

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of San Pablo be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Thursday, January 15, 2009, as special (non-working) day in the City of San Pablo.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
